Will Alex Bregman stick with the Houston Astros for the foreseeable future? It's certainly a possibility, but not a guarantee.

His five-year, $100 million deal with the Astros is up and he's available on the open market for any team willing to hand him a large deal.

Bregman has spent his entire nine-year big league career with the Astros but his future really is in question now.

Unsurprisingly, there have been reports that the Astros want him back.

He's a franchise cornerstone and helped lead the club to two World Series wins.

There are other teams that also make sense for him, though.

Bleacher Report's Joel Reuter made a list projecting the top free agents' possible contracts with predicted landing spots.

He predicted that Bregman will end up landing a $156 million deal this offseason with the Philadelphia Phillies.

"Contract Prediction: Six years, $156 million," Reuter said.

"Third baseman Alex Bregman just wrapped up a five-year, $100 million extension with the Houston Astros by posting his sixth 4-WAR season in nine years in the big leagues, and he has racked up 39.6 WAR total in his career while helping the team win a pair of World Series titles.

"A reunion with the Astros is still a possibility, but now that he has reached the open market there is a long list of potential landing spots.

A $26 million AAV would represent a solid raise and lucrative overall payday on a long-term deal, and if the Phillies can find the right deal to move Alec Bohm, they might be the favorites to land him.

Predicted Landing Spot: Philadelphia Phillies." For Houston's sake, hopefully, this doesn't become a reality.

If Bregman's final contract ends up being $156 over six years, that's a deal the Astros should gladly hand out.
